UKPONG-UDO KEEPS PROMISE OF WELFARE SUPPORT TO CONSTITUENTS
To further give credence to his reputation as a promise keeper, the member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. (Obong) Emmanuel Ukpong-udo today sustained his commitment to providing succour and support to his constituents.
The member, represented by his Special Assistant on Special Duties, Hon. Victor Akang, paid a condolence visit to Mr. Ndifreke Uwem Ekanem from Ikono Middle ward 3 to condole with him over the demise of his mum. He described Ndifreke as a very firm and staunch supporter of his, who is deserving of support while thanking God for sparing his life following a motor accident he was involved in recently. He received a cash support from the member for the burial.
Elder Samuel Sunday Ekwebe and family, from Ebo Itu Mbonuso, Ward 3 Ini LGA, also experienced the magnanimity of the member who offered financial support to help cushion the expenses incurred during the burial of his father-in-law, late Elder Chief Sir Essien Nsuabaia. The member regretted his inability to attend the burial due to a very hectic schedule but stated that his heart was with the family in their moment of grief.
The entourage later visited Hon. Nathaniel Udom of Mbiabong Ikot Udo in Ini LGA otherwise known as “Ekpri Ikwa” to condole with him over the demise of his beloved mother, Late Madam Mbodi Asuquo Udom, and also Madam Glory Matthew Abam, woman leader of Itak ward 11, who lost her mother-in-law, late Madam Akon Ben Abam. The member also presented financial support to assist them with burial arrangements.
Another constituent from Ibok Ndiya Ward 8 in Ikono, Mfon Martin Obot, who runs a relaxation spot also took delivery of 30 cartons of beer as business support from the federal lawmaker while Mr. Imo Okoro, a protocol aide to the member also received a cash gift to facilitate the dedication of his twin daughters billed for 22nd of December 2019.
The various beneficiaries lauded the member for his selflessness and unparalleled love for his people which they said was a demonstration of sensitive and people-oriented representation. They prayed God to bless and reward him abundantly.
