In yet another display of humanity, the member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, Hon.(Obong) Emmanuel Ukpong-udo today fulfilled the promise of business support he recently made to one of his constituents, Mr. Ukeme Emmanuel Udoh, a native of Ikot Akpa Edok Ndiya, Ikono LGA.
The member had promised to support Mr. Udoh with 50 bags of cement when he learnt he was building some lock up shops at Urua National, Ikot Akpa Edok, a development he described as highly elating and heart warming.
The Federal Lawmaker, represented by his Special Assistant on Special Duties, Hon. Victor Akang, thanked God for the Grace to fulfill the promise while lauding the beneficiary who is also his protocol aide, for making the most of his monthly salary.
He reiterated his commitment to the continuous emancipation of his people while applauding the beneficiary for waiting patiently for the set time for the fulfillment of the promise and urged others to take a cue from him. The beneficiary it was gathered opted for 25 bags and a cash equivalent of the remaining bags which the member graciously obliged.
In his response, the highly elated Mr. Udoh expressed his profound joy and gratitude to the member for the gesture. He prayed God to richly bless and reward the member for lending him a helping hand.
The Ward 8 PDP Chairman, Sergeant Samuel Akpan Rtd., in his vote of thanks, extolled the member for delivering on his campaign promise of regular empowerment of constituents. The ward and the entire constituency, he said, was greatly pleased with the kindness of the member, describing him as an action-laden representative. He advised the beneficiary to make proper use of the building materials made available to him so as to create empowerment opportunities for others.
