Today, the 45 ministers who were screened and cleared by the Nigerian Senate have been inaugurated into office. This came days after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assigned the ministers to their various portfolios.

The swearing in, which took place at the Presidential Villa on Monday, saw the likes of Nyesom Wike, a Federal Capital Territory Minister and others take the oath of office. Shortly after that, Nyesom Wike, speaking after assuming office, has stirred reactions online. In his words, Wike said,

“People who are distorting the master plan of Abuja, too bad, look at refuse everywhere. Those we are paying for refuse collection, what are they doing. So we must also sit down to look at ways of waste management. All those people who are distorting the master plan of Abuja, too bad and if you know you have built on where you are not supposed to, it will go down”.

Baby Wisdom crying his way into the world on the 1st of December 2023, was left with the fate of having to battle through the tunnel of his destiny without a mother’s care, love and attention, but mercy came through for him and he found help.

His story took another dimension when Mrs Itohowo Sunday, another nursing mother had compassion on him, and decided to nurse Wisdom alongside her baby, bringing Wisdom into the arms of a mother he had lost.

Dr Emmanuel Ntatam, on hearing the touching story of the new born baby, sprang into action, ensuring his welfare and that of his foster mother was safeguarded to lessen tension, tears and emotional trauma from the family.

The Ikono born philanthropist in his usual gesture, purchased basic needed items for baby Wisdom such as NAN 1, baby oil, baby lotion, diapers, wipes, dettol, baby syrups, baby soaps, tissue, rice for the family, and cash gift to Carter for other urgent items that was not included in the package.

I won Guinness Book Of Records To Make My Father Regret Disowning Me – Hilda Baci

Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, a popular Nigerian celebrity chef, went into depth about her strained relationship with her father, Effiong Bassey Edem.

In a recent interview on the Tea with Tay podcast, the Guinness World Record holder disclosed that her only grievance against her father was his sudden absence. She added that he had been a constant presence in her and her siblings’ lives since they were children.

However, things changed when a huge argument between him and her mother had an impact on the children.

What truly cut deep for her was her father’s abrupt abandonment, particularly when both she and her elder brother were on the brink of completing their university studies. She couldn’t wrap her head around why he withdrew his support for their education, especially after having funded their academic journey through nursery, secondary school, and the early years of their tertiary education.

Hilda vividly remembered a heart-wrenching moment she rang up her father to talk about her school expenses. To her astonishment, he picked up the call and basically played the “I’m not your dad” card, essentially disowning her over the phone.

Initially, she held hope that the discord between her mother and father would eventually fade away, leading to a reconciliation and her father’s return. Regrettably, that reconciliation never materialized.

Hilda went on to share that her father’s abandonment served as a catalyst for her to achieve a remarkable feat. She said she spearheaded the Guinness World Record cook-a-thon, not only as a personal accomplishment but also as a way to make her father regret his actions.
