GABRIEL ETIM – CELEBRATING A STATEMAN

Published

on

The opposition is indispensable. A good statesman, like any other sensible human being, always learns more from his opposition than from his fervent supporters.
Walter Lippmann
  • The Abak political space has been in the public for some time now. Despite all the suspense, intrigues, blackmailing game and propaganda it appear that peace has finally been found but it leave one to wonder how long this peace will last. One man who has been in the receiving end of this tantrum due to the ill fated September 18th PDP chairmanship primaries is sir Gabriel Etim.

Recent drama further reveal and exposed the lack of leadership head in PDP as everyone was busy trying to get the better of his percieved enemies just to take the glory. whether sir Etim was betrayed by those he trusted will be a story of another day. I will be back with that.
But today, the man that deserved the greatest praise in Abak today is Sir Gabriel Etim. I read alot about him and the negative trend that follow up his emergence leave one in shock how he has been painted irredeemable.
One will not need to look elsewhere for answers because it is all within the fail party leadership in Abak.
Sir Gabriel Etim finally step down to let peace reign. With this courageous show, he has proven right the biblical notion of turning the other cheek if offended.
He has proven himself a statesman. Despite the tantrum on him, he withstood all, he is a point to make which would have prompted his resolve but he bowed out when the applaud was about to be rapturous.
He showed guts and that a leaders are born in time of adversary.
He showed that selfish interest was not his motivation but the desire to see Abak rise again was the burning coal behind his aspirations.
He bow out in style to further show that he respect party decision and this is indeed a lesson to us all.
That party is supreme.
Sir Gabriel Etim deserved and has earned the title of a stateman.
As the search for political leadership heighten in abak, there is need to look within cus the answer might be right within our grasp.
As the future unfolds, i wish Sir Gabriel Etim exceedingly well and may God grant you more wisdom in all you endeavours.
I celebrate you as a true stateman.

DAKKADA SHOULD BE ENOUGH BECAUSE THEY ARE MANY WITHOUT LEGS.- Zion Umoh

Akwa Ibom State, Please what is the duty of the DAKKADA AMBASSADORS without political rallies?
Let us assume that they are 1 million DAKKADA AMBASSADORS in Akwa Ibom State and the state pays each of them 25 thousand naira monthly for sleeping at home.
Youths, do we know that when this government comes to an end, our pay ends?
How are sure of our pay after the 2019 election?

What happens if the present governor wins the second term and cut off the DAKKADA MONEY or lost the election to his opponent and his opponent stop paying the DAKKADA MONEY?
PDP owns the DAKKADA and the DAKKADA MONEY belongs to Akwa Ibom State. How many other political party members in Akwa Ibom State are receiving this Akwa Ibom State monthly pay?
Have we ever put these things into consideration?
Have we ever wonder why the state purposely refused to establish a good factory or companies for us to clock in and work to earn that 25 thousand naira per month?
The reason is that, if you’re employ by a company, you will not have such time to rally on the political gathering to promote the crowd of the government andthis is the reason why many citizens doesn’t vote because they’ve been voting since 1901 but yet, they’ve not seen or felt the impact of their votes on them or their children.
Why do we go to universities but in return to be the DAKKADA AMBASSADOR?
BACK TO SCHOOL: MATH TIME.

25,000 Naira X 1.000.000 people per month = 25.000.000.000 Naira (25 Billion Naira) per month.
Now, 25 billion Naira per month X 2 years of government is 24 months so if you add 25 billion naira per month X 24 months = 600.000.000.000 (600 Billion Naira).
4 year of the government is 1.200.000.000.000 (1.2 Trillion Naira).
Now, do you know how many massive industries, factories and companies we can establish with 1.2 Trillion Naira?
Akwa Ibom State youths, 1.2 Trillion Naira can employ one million youth for a lifetime and trust me, it’s not the DAKKADA money that made our elders who they are today and take this to the bank, you will never build a house, buy a car or marry with the DAKKADA money because it’s just a token to silence your thoughts and render you useless.
SAY NO TO PAY WITHOUT WORK.
THIS MESSAGE IS FOR THE CONCERN YOUTHS OF AKWA IBOM STATE.
I AM Zion Umoh AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE.

Governor Udom Emmanuel has advised boundary communities between Akwa Ibom and Cross River State not to allow their differences degenerate to loss of lives during conflicts.
The Governor charged the people to rather use whatever God had deposited in their communities for the benefit of their people.
The counsel was given by Governor Emmanuel on Thursday shortly after a breakfast meeting with the joint leadership of the Akwa Ibom and Cross River States Houses Of Assembly at Government House, Uyo.
He reminded the perpetrators of incessant communal clashes about the folly of their actions, maintaining that “even before we were born, th

e resources in that water were all there, they have not finished and they will never finish”.
The Governor encouraged the two Houses of Assembly to help take on the matter and educate their constituents on the futility of communal clashes, admitting that governors also have roles to play in that direction.
On the economy, Governor Emmanuel said ” We must come to that point that we look at full economic integration of the region so that we can actually start doing certain things for ourselves, we can’t wait any longer”.
He stated that even Governors of the region have taken the challenge upon themselves following the diminishing federal presence in the region and charged the two States Houses of Assembly to think along that line.
According to the Governor, “If you check, when last did we have the full reinforcement of the transmission lines here so that when we generate electricity, we can actually share? I am willing to give Cross River State a whole lot of electricity generated but I don’t have a transmission line”.
He applauded the two Speakers for acknowledging God in their endeavours and thanked the Almighty for elevating them and others to positions of authority in the country despite adversity.
The Governor, on behalf of the executive and the entire people congratulated the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly on its silver jubilee and prayed God to bless the Legislature and the two states with silver and gold.
He likened the coming together of the two Houses of Assembly to a demonstration of brotherhood and called for a communique that will impact positively on the society at the end of the joint legislative session.
Speaking earlier, the Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Barrister Onofiok Luke said the visit was to invite the Governor to the events marking the 25th Anniversary of the legislature in the state, having been proclaimed on 20th January, 1992.
Barr Luke said they were also in the Hilltop Mansion to thank the Governor for giving unflinching support to the Assembly, adding that the opportunity was also for their Cross River State counterparts to pay homage to the State Chief Executive.
He restated the commitment of the State Assembly to legislate and work in harmony with other arms of Government in the overall interest of Akwa Ibom people.
The Speaker outlined the itinerary of the 25th Anniversary to the Governor and handed the invitation letter to him.
Also speaking, the Speaker of Cross River State House Of Assembly, Barrister John Lebo who is also The Chairman of PDP Speakers’ Forum in Nigeria told the Governor about his efforts at that level with the aim of seeing the party back to power in 2019.
He said the world in the next 50 years, will continue to talk about knowledge, technology, information, communication and people and that what is required for all that to come together is convergence.
The Cross River Speaker described the legislature as the architect of democracy, being the only institution with the capacity to deliver on that kind of convergence, and stressed that legislators are the ones with the responsibility to formulate agenda for the future.
Barr Lebo also had these kind words for the Governor, “Your Excellency, first let me appreciate you for being a role model and mentor for children of God who have found themselves in power. I talk to my father in the Lord, Pastor Paul Enenche regularly and he speaks very well about you and the programmes that you do”.
He said legislators from Cross River who are kiths and kins of Akwa Ibom people, were in the state to cement that historical ties and promised to work together for the benefit of the people, adding that similar invitation will be extended to Akwa Ibom law makers soon.
