A socio-economic and political advocacy group in Akwa Ibom State, Dakkada Entrepreneurs Ambassadors League (DEAL), has provided over 5,000 units of various materials specially branded for campaign in support of the second term bid of Governor Udom Emmanuel come 2019.

In a partnership and consultation visit on Wednesday to the Divine Mandate Organisation headquarters, DEAL presented the campaign materials including branded utility vehicle, air fresheners, bathing and washing soaps, tissue papers, hair and body creams among other made-in-Akwa Ibom products, to the Divine Mandate Campaign organization for use during the campaigns.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, Hon. Sam Edoho, who is the Chairman of the group, noted that DEAL has gone round the state up to unit levels to recruit members towards ensuring that Gov Udom Emmanuel returns to office as Governor come 2019.

He explained that DEAL is a product of the Dakkada philosophy of the Governor who are all entrepreneurs in the state coming together to support Governor Udom Emmanuel for second term.

According to him, the reason behind this is because entrepreneurs in the state have benefited from the Governor and seen the good works of the Governor in the areas of industrialization and the support he has given to entrepreneurs in the state.

He emphasized that the Governor’s support for entrepreneurs in the state has led to employment generation for the people, adding that the Governor has energized the spirit of enterprise and entrepreneurship in Akwa Ibom State.

Mr Edoho added that DEAL will in addition to to the materials donated will utilise the materials during her door-to-door and unit campaign tours.

Chancellor of Ibom Patriot and Patron of DEAL, Obong Bassey Inuaeyen, noted that the team was not compelled but coming to support the Governor’s campaign was a deliberate move to ensure that every home feels and perceives the result of the Dakkada philosophy of the Governor, as well as his industrialization policy.

Also speaking, Distinguished Sen Anietie Okon, who is also a Patron of the group, said DEAL has been working assiduously to interpret the Dakkada philosophy of the Governor.

The Director General of Divine Mandate Campaign organization, Air Commodore, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, in his response, thanked the group for the level of enthusiasm, saying that their effort is unique and highly commendable. He pointed out that with the level of creativity and ingenuity from the group he believes that DEAL will do extraordinary things to see that Governor Udom Emmanuel emerges victorious come 2019.

He promised that the Divine Mandate Campaign organization will partner with DEAL for the production and advertisement of the unique campaign materials for distribution to Akwa Ibomites during the campaigns.

Otuekong Nkanga said that people of the state are beginning to understand the philosophy and direction of the Dakkada Creed, unlike when they were only memorizing to say it during occasions, adding that it has a multiplier effect as many more Akwa Ibom-made products will soon be unveiled.

Also present were (Secretary of Divine Mandate Campaign Organization), the champion of Uyo, Secretary of Akwa Ibom chapter of PDP among other dignitaries.
