The principal of Mkpoikana-Abasi campaign organization and the standard bearer for PDP Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo has reiterated his intention to bring lustre of development to Ikono/Ini once he’s voted into office during the forth coming 2019 General elections.
This was contained in his manifesto, reeled out by his campaign organization, Mkpoikana-Abasi 2019.
Macaire as he popularly called by supporters revealed that when elected into office to represent the people of Ikono/Ini, his heed will be centred on sturdy representation, where he will organize timely town hall meetings to know the needs of the populace and to combat them.
Sponsorship and promoting people aimed bills that will stimulate human resource development and instigating a plan for the constituents to compete in the Federal Civil Service and other workable places during his 4years stay in the green chamber.
Preservation of unfussy constituency office to contain every of his constituents. Accounting for his representation, delivering dividends of representation to Ikono/Ini people.
The manifesto promised Ikono/Ini youths and women empowerment, Jobs/Wealth creation, rural Infrastructural development, Social Welfare, Human Capital Development and Students Support Scheme.
Creation of platform to guarantee empowerment, inclusion of women and youths, the less privileged, indigents and the disabled persons. It also included establishment of attitudinal reform programmes that will spew positive changes among women and youths.
Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo through Mkpoikana-abasi promised regular and timely support for tenable business plans suit enough to emit employment opportunities for teeming Ikono/Ini youths. To promote human capital development, he pledge to create an avenue for skill acquisition for Ikono/Ini people.
The philanthropist also made known that while in office, he will rivet to his constituents adequate electrification projects to lacking communities.
He revealed that rural dwellers will not be left out as he will ensure provision of water projects in every community, good road network will be opened up for businesses to thrive and ease of transportation. Markets and other dilapidated infrastructures will be worked on.
Macaire whose love for education can’t be written off, promised rehabilitation of schools cutting across Ikono and Ini.
The Health & Safety Don promised adequate and fully equipped health service centres. He assure improvement of health care delivery in existing primary health care centres through proper rehabilitation.
The students of Ikono/Ini federal constituency are not left out in his plans, as he has made available provisions of educational support for Ikono/Ini students through bursary and grants while keeping an eye on government opportunity on international study programmes that may come.
