By Dopse Eberefiak

Following an unprecedented human and capital development witnessed in the last three years of Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration in the State, Akwa Ibom State Roads & Other Infrastructure Maintenance Agency (AKROIMA) Board, has renewed her support for the governor, describing his administration as rewarding and impactful.

This resolution was one of the key decisions taken during an ‘extra-ordinary’ board meeting held recently at the board’s secretariat in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital. The board chairman, Prince Godwin Ntuk Udeh, who presided over the meeting, explained that the board has found it politically expedient to reaffirm her support for Governor Udom Emmanuel’s second term bid, which according to him, his superlative performance in the areas of health, agriculture, entrepreneurship, education, security, infrastructural developments are what gave rise to the numerous supports so far gathered for the governor.

Ntuk Udeh, a former Commissioner for Transport in the state however described Governor Emmanuel as an asset, trailblazer and an astute administrator, saying that his type is rare to find in the encyclopedia of leaders in the State, even as he further emphasized that AKROIMA is ready to join other politically conscious Akwa Ibom citizens to mobilize support for Gov. Emmanuel second term agenda.

According to the Board Chairman, Governor Emmanuel has diligently salvaged the State from teething recession, paid salaries to civil and public servants as at when due, engaged in massive industrialization, created a congenial business environment, attract foreign investors, thus, deserves to be supported and encouraged.

Ntuk Udeh, whose board has added value to the landmark achievements of Governor Emmanuel, urged Akwa Ibomites to bury sentiment and biases and support the governor for a second term for the full actualization of the laudable projects already started by Governor Emmanuel.

Highpoint of the meeting was a vote of confidence passed on Governor Emmanuel with the resolve to support his continuity through a resolution signed by all members of the board. Present at the meeting were; Obong Israel Utit, Otuekong Iniekpo Akpanekpo, Hon. Uduot Jack, Mr. Sylvanus Udoh, Chief Saviour Enyiekere and Hon. (Elder) Okpoyo Etifit. Others were Dr. Dean Udom and Barr. (Mrs) Augusta Bassey.
